Re: GTHC Predicts, Man City at Home
My magical thinking ( based on 2 Magpies ( not Newcastle fans) I see out the window ) is that we will get something from the game.

However, reality is that we are simply not strong enough defensively ( as a team let alone midfield ) and will likely concede 2 or 3. I agree though would be nice to actually give them a game for once and have them worried for a large part of the game even if we ultimately lose.

We actually played quite well and gave them a good game last season, apart from them scoring four and us not.

Unseasonable high winds may well work in our favour....

0-3

At least Fab is back otherwise I thought we'd get roundly thumped.

Still can't see much more than a easy win for them.

Just hope we give them a decent game.

I predict a 3-5 thrashing with them hitting the woodwork 7 times too.. It's a write off game anyway so I'm hardly going to start pissing my pants over this one.

Re: GTHC Predicts, Man City at Home
Meanwhile Charlie Nicholas predicts 0-3 a lot wouldn't argue with his prediction for this game, but i'm not sure what he was expecting when he says we pitched highly for players that didn't materialise?

West Ham have lost Marko Arnautovic, their best player. They have pitched highly for players they want to sign and were threatening in the market, only for it not to materialise. I like Manuel Pellegrini and he did a great job last season, but I don't think he's done the business in the transfer window. There are a few players that can play and they will not be in trouble or anything like that. It will take West Ham some time to get into the groove, but Manchester City are ready to rip it up and make a statement once more. Kevin De Bruyne will score here.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 0-3 (13/2 with Sky Bet)

Can't see them scoring any less than 3, am just hoping we rock up and give them a good game even if we lose.

West Ham .... signing a bunch of players

What would we do without his precise analysis and insight?
